Since 1983, AeroEngines has been providing fleet operators and private aircraft owners with world-class aircraft engine overhauls that are proudly hand assembled in the USA. The AeroEngines proprietary piston engine overhaul process, created by founder Tom Schweitz, employs some of the most carefully crafted and safest overhaul and rebuild techniques found in GA engine reconstruction. In business for over 35 years, AeroEngines has established solid long term relationships with the world’s best aviation suppliers, enabling AeroEngines to provide engine solutions that many others can’t even come close to envisioning. New customers should expect clear language about all the technical elements of their engine overhaul, maintenance, repair or conversion.
AeroEngines assures you will get an engine that outperforms most others in build quality. How do we do this? We overhaul and rebuild all Lycoming and Continental Motors engines to factory new limits. To learn more about this, visit our overhaul education pages. Additionally, we price our work with highly competitive pricing so you get great American hand assembled engine overhauls at a great price. We also offer extended warranties. Repair stations, MROs, and mechanics get industry specific pricing discounts and flight schools and commercial fleet operators get aggressive special multi-engine price lock guarantees and fast turn-around.
Our Commitment To Our Clients
Our dedication to engineering excellence and safety in general aviation has helped to build our over 35-year-old reputation. With our proprietary piston engine services for most major general aviation aircraft piston engines, we are able to respond to our client needs quickly, reliably, and safely. We support private owners and provide on-demand services to large fleets, including large and medium-sized flight schools and commercial operators. For years, we have actively supported the AOPA with engine services for their airplane sweepstakes program as well as other great cause philanthropies as we donate a percentage of every dollar in revenue we earn to different aviation based charities throughout the year. It’s our way of giving back to the world of aviation and to support our GA communities.
It is easy to do business with AeroEngines. With locations in the Washington DC area and the San Francisco Bay area in California, we provide two great locations on either coast to send fly to or to send your engines to for service and support. AeroEngines also provides easy pickup and delivery services of your engine(s) across the contiguous USA. Partnerships with select aircraft maintenance and avionics providers throughout the US enables clients the convenience of a close engine drop off location and cost-effective piston engine services. We ship engines to most “friendly” countries. International clients enjoy safe and speedy engine exchange programs. Extra services available at our physical locations and partner sites include avionics upgrades, ADS-B, engine monitor installations, airframe services, emergency AOG support, aircraft detail and appearance and much more.

At AeroEngines, we believe that pilots must be good decision-makers and constantly develop good pilot instincts. That’s why all the leaders at AeroEngines are pilots—starting with President of AeroEngines, Dr. Arthur Neeves. With over 30 years working in aviation and aerospace, Dr. Neeves, obtained his doctorate degree in Physics also while pursing his aviation credentials. Dr. Neeves paid his way through college as a flight instructor (CFI/CFII) and multi-engine instructor (MEI), eventually earning the coveted airline transport pilot (ATP) license. Dr. Neeves also earned his FAA Airframe and Powerplant mechanic (A&P) license and knows engines and aircraft systems. Not only does Dr. Neeves understand the physics of how everything works, he knows how pilots fly and how mechanics maintain.
